Why big companies fail to capture talented employees!

For a while, I’ve witnessed with great agony a disconnect between companies and the communities they serve or territories in which they operate!

Companies are seeking talented individuals but are struggling to find them, and when they do, they battle to retain them. On the flip side talented individuals are seeking employment but are not exposed or in contact with these companies…a massive disconnect.

I’m a firm believer that companies must very well be in touch and visible in communities where they operate, companies have to run roadshows, more CSR and careers fairs at local universities. They have to be visible.

Companies must devise ways to keep in touch with communities. In this era of connectedness, this should be seamless! As a boss, ask yourself this question, how visible are we?
